Tour 5

Full day jeep tour and Um Ad Dami hike

With two nights in the camp

Combine a jeep tour with a hike. Um Ad Dami is claimed as the highest point in Jordan at 1854m above sea level and the peak is marked by the Jordanian flag. From the top on a clear day you will have panoramic views including across to Saudi Arabia. A satisfying walk after slowing things down from the previous day’s jeep tour.

Day 1 – Full Day Jeep Tour

You do the full day jeep tour starting at your meeting point in Wadi Rum village where you transfer to the guide’s 4 x 4 car. First up you head to Lawrence’s Spring, then to the red sand dune for a panoramic view, Lawrence’s House, the mushroom rock, sighting of the Burdah Rock Bridge, then on to the smaller but no less enjoyable, Um Frouth, a large arch you can climb up if you don’t mind heights.

After the adventures of the day you are driven to the camp. There you have time to relax or explore the immediate area and take in the sunset before dinner. A traditional Bedouin dinner is served in the communal tent. After dinner you are welcome to relax by the fire before you head to bed.

Day 2 – Hike Um Adami

After breakfast you head out by jeep with your guide to Jebel Um Adami. To hike up and down is approximately three hours. Following the hike, you will be able to relax and drink tea enjoying the peaceful surrounds before returning for another night at the camp.
